Patirick Henry was born May 29, 1736. Best known as a American revolutionary leader and for his speech that declared at the Second Virginia Convention:
“I know not what theres may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death.”
Seen as a founding father, in Virginia he served as the first and sixth post-colonial Governor. First from 1776–1779, then from 1784–1786.
He died on June 6, 1799, Brookneal, VA. He died from stomach cancer three months prior to taking his seat in the Virginia House of Delegates. He died in his Virginia home in Red Hill Plantation.
